Sonic Labs Secures $200M Expansion Plan for US Capital Markets Push
Sonic Labs has overwhelmingly passed a governance proposal to inject $200 million into US capital markets, marking a pivotal shift toward traditional finance integration. The blockchain firm received 99.98% approval from 105 participating wallets, clearing the 700M S token quorum threshold.
The capital will be deployed across three strategic initiatives: $50 million for a regulated S token ETF, $100 million for a Nasdaq PIPE vehicle, and $150 million to establish Sonic USA LLC with a New York-based compliance team. The MOVE comes as S tokens have declined 69% since their January 2025 launch, prompting aggressive deflationary measures including enhanced gas fee burns.
'S🇺🇸nic is coming' declared the company's tweet announcing the governance outcome. The expansion plan includes recruiting a US CEO to navigate regulatory requirements while bridging crypto-native and institutional markets.
